Paul Pearson - Grounds & Maintenance Division
Double employee award - Finding and reuniting patient with £1100
Paul Pearson, Grounds & Maintenance Operative working at the NHS Royal Liverpool University Hospital on behalf of Impact & Carillion was carrying out his normal duties when he noticed something unusual in the corner of his eye.
Upon closer inspection, Paul discovered it was a bunch of keys and glasses case containing £1100 cash inside. As this was left unattended outside the main entrance, Paul handed the items over to NHS Security, who in-turn managed to reunite the belongings with a hospital patient.
The patient - an elderly lady, was overwhelmed and expressed her gratitude for finding and returning her possessions.
As a result of Paul's actions he has been awarded Impact's gold ACT award for going 'above and beyond'. In addition to this, Paul has recently received positive feedback from the customer relating to his overall work standards and also picked up Impact's silver ACT award for recognition of his excellent work standards and building customer relations.
Paul was presented with his two awards and gift card by Anthony Weaver, Contracts Manager on Friday 16th October 2015.
Well done Paul and enjoy spending your gift card.
