A freezing blizzard that battered the north east of the United States on Tuesday is heading for the UK. Britain's calm spring weather is set to come to a wet and windy halt this weekend when the tail end of Storm Stella strikes. Woman fined £860 for failing to clean up dog mess in her back garden

A woman has been fined for leaving dog poo in her back garden. Ria Parks, 34, left piles of faeces in the back yard without cleaning them up. She had previously been issued a community protection notice for not clearing up the mess in her back garden in Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent. STORM DORIS HAS passed over the UK and work is underway to repair the damage inflicted by winds that touched 140 km/h.
